Sarah and I have started training for the Coast to Coast 150 mile off road Challenge on mountain bikes. We had a tough first training session on Saturday up in Kildale - 30 miles uphill, followed by uphill, more uphill............... and eventually coming downhill very fast.

We are both a bit sore but its all worth it as we are raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. So many people are affected by cancer or loved ones with cancer, and the the work that Marie Curie does to support people at such difficult times, is incredible.

After completing my 1st marathon last year and ultra cycle challenge (London 2 Paris in just 24 hours) I have decided that I fancy doing a triathlon this year. I have a new running buddy - a wirehaired hungarian viszla puppy (she will be ready for running in August). I would love to hear from anyone with triathlon experience and advice.

I also would like to do the Great North Run 1/2 marathon on Sept 18th 2011 in aid of Martin House Children's hospice. It would be great if I could get a team of runners to join me.

We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the 2009 BEST TEAM in the NORTH EAST in the Dentistry Awards!

This is due to the hard work and commitment we have towards our patients and other dental professionals together with the extensive charity work which we are involved in.

Following successful completion of the Great North Run in September 2009 I've decided to continue my training and to run a marathon.

I'm training in all weathers and the above photo was taken on Boxing Day 2009 - demonstrating my commitment / madness!
